Warranty conditions Germany and European Union (EU)
The manufacturerRudolph Tietzsch GmbH & Co. KG grants a 3-year guarantee on the products advertised with guarantee promises (voltage testers, high-voltage testers, telescopic voltage testers, resistance and insulation testers). This warranty does not apply to accessories or included batteries. No other warranties such as suitability for specific applications are given. The manufacturer assumes no liability for incidental or consequential damage or loss, regardless of the cause.
The period for calculating the warranty period begins with the invoice date. The geographical scope of the manufacturer’s guarantee extends to Germany and the European Union (EU).
If material defects or manufacturing defects occur in the goods purchased by the buyer during this period, the manufacturer, as the guarantor, grants him one of the following services at his discretion within the scope of this guarantee:
- – free repair of the goods or
- – free exchange of the goods for an equivalent item

Warranty claims are excluded in the event of damage to the goods
- – normal wear and tear (e.g. signs of wear on the lenses)
- – improper or abusive handling (e.g. by overloading)
- – Non-compliance with any safety precautions or technical limits
- – use of force (e.g. punches)
- – Do-it-yourself repair attempts
- – Environmental influences beyond the intended use (heat, humidity, etc.)
A prerequisite for claiming the guarantee is that the guarantor is able to check the guarantee case by sending in the goods. Within the statutory warranty period of 2 years, the buyer can request a return label from the guarantor. The goods must then be sent in at the expense of the buyer.
It is important to ensure that damage to the goods during transport is avoided by using secure packaging. When applying for the guarantee, a copy of the invoice must be enclosed with the consignment so that the guarantor can check whether the guarantee period has been complied with. Without a copy of the invoice, the guarantor can refuse the guarantee service. Furthermore, the buyer must provide the name and address of the final seller if this data does not result from the copy of the invoice.
In the case of justified warranty claims, the warranty processing and return to the buyer are always free of charge. Warranty processing can be combined with other services offered by the seller (e.g. calibrations). In this case, the additional services are still subject to a charge.
Important note: This manufacturer’s guarantee does not restrict the statutory rights of the buyer in the event of defects and can be claimed by the buyer free of charge. Any existing statutory warranty rights vis-à-vis the seller remain unaffected by this guarantee promise. This warranty promise by the manufacturer therefore does not violate the legal rights of the buyer, but rather expands his legal position.
If the purchased item is defective, the seller can always contact the manufacturer within the framework of the statutory warranty, regardless of whether a warranty case exists or whether the warranty is claimed.
